How to Use the Grow a Garden Calculator

  1. 1

Select your crop from the dropdown (e.g. Dragon Fruit, Truffle, Carrot). The base value and tier are shown automatically.

  2. 2

Enter the crop weight in kilograms. Heavier crops are worth exponentially more — the formula uses weight squared.

  3. 3

Toggle any mutations that apply to your crop. The calculator detects conflicts (like Rainbow vs Gold) and warns you automatically.

  4. 4

Enter your Friend Boost percentage (0–50%) if you were gardening with friends when the crop was grown.

  5. 5

The final Sheckle value updates live. Switch to Reverse Calculator mode to find what weight is needed to hit a target value.

Grow a Garden Crop Value Guide

In Grow a Garden, the value of every crop is determined by a formula that rewards heavy crops exponentially. The crop value formula is: Value = Base Value × (Weight ÷ Base Weight)² × Mutation Multipliers × (1 + Friend Boost%)

The squared weight factor is the key insight. A Dragon Fruit at 2× its base weight (4kg instead of 2kg) is worth 4× more — not 2×. At 3× base weight it is worth 9× more. This is why maximizing crop weight through pet bonuses and growth items dramatically impacts sheckle earnings.

Mutations stack multiplicatively. A crop with Rainbow (50x) and Stormy (8x) is worth 400× base value, not 58×. However, mutually exclusive mutations like Rainbow and Gold cannot appear together — the calculator enforces these rules automatically with a conflict warning.

Best crops to grow by sheckle potential: Dragon Fruit, Moon Melon, Truffle, Starfruit, and Golden Apple lead the legendary tier. For mid-game players, Mango and Cacao offer excellent value for their seed pack rarity level.

Frequently Asked Questions — Grow a Garden Calculator

How is crop value calculated in Grow a Garden?+

Value = Base Value × (Weight ÷ Base Weight)² × All Mutation Multipliers × (1 + Friend Boost%). Weight has a squared effect — at 3× base weight a crop is worth 9× more. This is why pet weight bonuses make such a big difference.

What is the most valuable crop?+

Truffle has the highest per-kg base value (2,200 ₷), followed by Moon Melon (2,000 ₷) and Starfruit (1,500 ₷). With a Dawnbound mutation (150x), a Truffle at 2× base weight is worth over 1,000,000 Sheckles.

Can Rainbow and Gold stack?+

No. Rainbow (50x) and Gold (20x) are mutually exclusive — you can only have one on a single crop. The calculator detects this conflict and shows a warning automatically.

What is the most powerful mutation?+

Dawnbound (150x) is the highest multiplier, only obtainable during rare Dawn events. Celestial (120x), Shocked (100x), and Radioactive (80x) follow. Rainbow (50x) and Gold (20x) are the most commonly targeted obtainable mutations.

What does friend boost do?+

Friend boost adds a percentage bonus to your crop value when gardening with friends present. At 50% boost, your final crop value is 1.5× higher. Enter your friend boost % in the calculator to factor it into the result.

How do I use the reverse calculator?+

Switch to "Reverse Calculator" mode, select your crop and mutations, enter the Sheckle value you want to achieve, and the calculator tells you exactly what weight you need to grow. Great for setting crop growth goals.

What is a grow a garden sheckles calculator?+

A sheckles calculator (like this one) helps you find the exact selling price of your crops in Sheckles — the in-game currency. It applies the weight-squared formula plus mutation multipliers to give you the precise value.
